Tiny Tots
Swimming Lessons
Serving the Greater East Bay including San Leandro, Castro Valley, Hayward, Oakland, and San Lorenzo, CA.
Tiny Tots is the perfect place for younger students who require space, patience, and encouragement as they get on their way. These are usually students who are just a little afraid to get their face in, uncomfortable in the water, or just learning how it feels to float and move.
Instructors support each student with a gentle, consistent approach that emphasizes establishing trust and gaining small, significant victories. Lessons are designed to instruct early skills such as floating, breathing, and movement. All is segmented into easy-to-follow steps that take the swimmers where they are at.

Benefits of Tiny Tots Swimming Lessons
Tiny Tots introduces the youngest students to the initial foundation stones of water safety and movement. Students are taught to get in and out of the pool, blow bubbles, float assisted, and initiate propulsion in the water on their own. Every lesson is centered on the topic of body position, water comfort, and learning simple directions from their instructor.
We use a peaceful, concentrated method that works towards minimizing fear and establishing familiarity. Confidence increases as trust increases. As time passes, students relax, react, and repeat what they are learning. This initial consistency lays the foundation for future progress in subsequent levels.

Common FAQs About
Tiny Tot Swimming Lessons
What age group is Tiny Tots for?
Swimmers between the ages of 4–7 who are either new swimmers or unsure in the water. It is an excellent choice for those who require a slower build-up before advancing into beginner’s classes.
What skills will they learn?
We teach students how to float on their front and back, how to kick, and how to initiate movement with their arms. Instructors address simple breath control, and how to react to commands in the water.
What if my child is nervous?
Can parents join the class?
No. Instructors are in the pool with the swimmers for the duration of the class. Parents may observe at the side, but the objective is for the swimmers to gain independence and build trust with their instructor.
How many kids are in each class?
We keep the classes small. This ensures close supervision for instructors so they can spend necessary time with each swimmer. It prevents overcrowding.
Will my child swim on their own by the end?
All children are different in their progress. Some are gliding on their own at the end of class, but some may still require assistance.
Does this program lead on to another level?
After a swimmer demonstrates that they are comfortable in the water and can float, kick, and move on their own, we progress them to the next level.
